Since 1992, Sevinch has been dedicated to recreating fine passementeries in the historic tradition. Sevinch’s workshop of dedicated artisans, located in Cairo, Egypt, is fully occupied in producing work of a level of intricacy and complexity rarely seen in today’s world.

From the dyeing and spinning of the yarns, and the cutting by eye of the wooden and other pieces destined for the ornamentation of tassels and fringes – the entire process is performed by hand. Even her looms are constructed by hand. Sevinch only sells to established and distinguished suppliers to the interior design and historical preservation professions. Her work is custom, and almost every design is original in one way or another.

Sevinch’s trading terms represent the enormous complexity of the work; and furthermore, she imposes no minimum order restrictions, and happily accepts modifications in style and color.
